Make the most of your time in the United States. Improve your English and still have space in your schedule to enjoy the city.
English is the language people use to travel, study, and do business around the world. The Recreational English Program is designed for students who want to improve proficiency and enjoy the process, with practice in writing, reading, listening, and speaking.
This program is ideal for visitors, new residents, dependent visa holders, people on a work visa, and students with other immigration statuses in the United States who want meaningful progress without a full time schedule.
A student visa is not required when you take up to 16 hours of classes per week. For personal immigration decisions, confirm your situation with an authorized professional.
Recreational students join the same classes as Intensive English Program students. You can enroll from 12 to 16 hours per week. Being a Recreational student does not mean easier content. You will follow the same content and evaluation standards used in the Intensive English Program.
